Ken Fickes, Director of Harris County Transit says these changes have been made based on public response from on-board surveys, community leaders and public officials. While the start date of July 6 is tentative, Fickes says it’s important to let the public know now what is in the planning stages.
“We realize every change we make impacts people’s daily lives. It’s important that we provide reasonable notice that a change is about to occur so that people can plan accordingly.”
While the changes were designed based on rider input, route adjustments always result in schedule and timing adjustments to the entire route. Riders are encouraged to continue to provide feedback with questions and comments at 713-578-2216 and to go to www.harriscountytransit.com for additional route information.
