Starting Tuesday, April 13 through Thursday, April 15, passengers who board a bus in South Houston, Pasadena, Seabrook, La Porte, McNair, The Highlands, Barrett Station or Crosby are likely to be approached by a friendly person with a Harris County Transit badge and a list of questions. The questions are designed to better understand who is riding the buses, where they are going, and whether or not stops or street routes should be adjusted on the new routes which began in January.
“We have seen a spike in ridership with the nice weather. This is a great opportunity for passengers to put in their two cents on what they like and don’t like about the service to date. These customer service representatives will serve as our eyes and ears as we further refine these routes,” said Ken Fickes, Harris County Transit Director.
Between February and March, bus ridership is up over 60% on the new service routes and overall system ridership is up over 30%.
Harris County Transit continues to receive feedback and answer customer questions about routes, stops and times at 713-578-2216.
